[12:59 pm] Meeting called to order. Jill Akahoshi presiding.
[1:01 pm] The roll was called.
Present (4): Jill Akahoshi, Wil Negrete, Yadira Sanchez, and Jay Stern
Absent (0): none

[1:02 pm] On agenda item 4, Jay Stern made a motion to "Recommend to streamline and cut down the number of NHENC Standing Committees to five.  The five are Executive Committee, Budget and Finance Committee, Outreach Committee (adding "Connecting students with resources for higher education, tutoring; building relationships with school principals, parent centers; working with churches and non-profits on projects that serve our students.  Gateway project, bulky item pick up, Adopt-A-Basket, graffiti removal and reporting potholes, lights, sanitation and other city services.), Land Use Committee and Rules and Elections Committee.  

To be reflected in the Standing Rules, Policies, and Procedures for Committees"
