[6:44 pm] Brian Nelson Smiley & Genesee The sidewalk doesn’t have ADA compliant sidewalks. There are Steel Plates in the street on Genesee and Adams. He has contacted the city but told they cant move them since they dont know who owns them. As a result the street wasn’t repaved. Edit
[6:46 pm] Johnathan Mitchell CD10 Rep - - CD10 is working to get lights back on in our neighborhood. Ask that we report using 311 and send him the case number. - Reports there has been an increase of RVs in the area due to new restrictions introducing in surrounding neighborhoods. - CD10 has introduced similar restrictions and working to connect RV owners with services as needed. - Currently targeting the Clyde and Geneese and Adams areas. - They were able to get RVs on Sycamore and Obama relocated. - Trees are being trimmed in the area over the next few weeks - Johnathan asks if we see any trees blocking signage and traffic lights to please report it on 311. - JM asks that we send him request for ADA compliant corners Edit

[7:14 pm] LAFD Station 94 - Captain Balandis presented on Fire Service Day is coming up on May 11th from 10a -2p (targeting 400 - 500 people). Goal to connect the community with their local firefighters to foster relationships and fire safety. -This years theme is Wellness - Empowerment Congress West NC will be partnering with LAFD - Station 94 is an Explorer Posts & they will be on site - Will feature: a DJ, stretching/ yoga, food, and line dancing - MySafeLA CPR Classes and maybe a car show - LAFD Station 94 T-shirts for sale __ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ____ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ Board Member Miller is upset that with LAFDs large budget that they would come to us asking for money. Captain Balandis rebutted that 90% of LAFD budget is spent on salary the other 10% supports all other LAFD program and vehicle maintenance. Edit

[7:44 pm] Boardmember Dawson- Concerned about more liquor in the neighborhood. Wants to know if the committee actually vetted this opportunity. Board Member Meeks said there was not a big discussion or vote in land use. Edit
[7:45 pm] Board Member Thomas- Would like for the land use committee to create a standardized list of questions. They also should take votes on projects before submitting. Edit
[7:47 pm] Boardmember Dujon - We dont have enough power to enforce restrictions Boardmember Williams - The state has taken away our power here. This is happening whether we like it or not. No point not passing it Edit

[8:13 pm] Board Member Comment Quintus Jett - - WANC should work together more frequently - Conflict of interest - In the event board members feel they have a conflict of interest in regards to WANC business they should reach out to the city attorney immediately. When a board member is recusing themself they must make known to the board why they are recusing themselves. Edit
[8:14 pm] Jace Dawson- Let us know what and how you would like to work with us Coach Williams - 300 people at the We need to have meeting agendas, minutes. People are not civically engaged. Edit
[8:17 pm] Brian Piatek- Would like to see us do more around the blighted homes in the community especially those like the city owned property on Jefferson and Crenshaw Connye Thomas - Wants WANC to do more connecting the community with events and resources things like the upcoming County Supervisor - Town April 17th Edit
