Potential joint PS & Landuse committee meeting to address the concerns. Public Safety Committee Report: Outreach Committee: No meeting but participated in Starbucks Edit

[6:57 pm] Coach Williams would like to know why the meeting attendance numbers are diminished. Rules Committee: Meeting to be scheduled. Election is coming up next year so we should get to planning Education/ Youth: The committee feels they can really grow but need more consistent meetings. Digital : Meeting to be scheduled Johnathan Mitchell Report: CD10 has been advocating to get traffic cops out during peak hours to deter speeding but unfortunately, drivers have to practice better habits. Let him know about any rapid response issues. Things like graffiti, weed abatement Tora M ask can some one check into the length of the traffic light at 29th and Buckingham? An evaluation on accidents of pre and post-bikeline Steven - complaint about the traffic at Jefferson and National - Right Turn lane they turn on Jefferson. Edit

[7:11 pm] Any plans to have more safety at train stations Would like to have Heather Hutt at one of our meetings to discuss transportation issues in the city. Edit

[7:17 pm] Safety Committee would like CD10 to take a more concerted effort to make a plan to address the traffic issues in the area. Should roll over $6,700 The city council ruled recently NCs can carry over more than $10,000 Edit

The motion was: Approve WANC Public Safety Committee to pass a NC board resolution requesting Councilwoman Hutt (CD10) submit a motion to City Council for directing the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT), in coordination with Metro and other relevant city agencies, to provide within 120 days a CD10 priority traffic infrastructure and street safety improvement projects for FY 2024-2025 and FY 2025-2026.
