La moción fue:
Motion to approve class 2 conditional use permit for the on-site sale and consumption of a full line of alcoholic beverages in conjunction with the museum of ice cream - ZA-2025-3388-CUB
[7:25 pm] Q - How to plan managing the lines. All tickets are timed, and pre purchased, one person guiding managing and scanning tickets. 3/4 people to help manage this. Discussion on Austin - 2 years ago when the line was difficult - process is implemented to make things as fast as possible. Certain things that they are honest about - always higher crowds upon opening but will decrease over time since there are various peak demand times across traffic, parking. Q - Capacity planning question - how to control alcohol/loud crowds. Consumption is only on the upper floors . Licensing was done for Alta, Chulita, Cento, Farmhouse and more - those are popular and this location has alcohol as an accessory but it's not the key use case for the museum. Q's from chat - Does the museum of ice cream have an estimate of new jobs it will create and will the museum be encouraging travel by train? 100 staff immediately and could go up to 150 over time. Seasonality and transit benefits are apart of employees package. 20-25 employees per shift which rotate. Q - Is there a history component and what is the demographic? Child, adults, food and history with a focus on local brands. Ice cream comes for free, and cocktails are extra from 10am-11pm but it takes around 1hour to get to the sections with alcohol. Q - Sober hours for kids? there is not, how does this effect field trips since parents might not want their kids on a trip where there is alcohol. Locations partner with school and so far not incidents. Q - 55 parking on site, 70 for valet capacity - including people attending the museum. Less intensive from a car stand point then the office building that was originally meant to be there. Q - Baldwin Hills Rec Center said that City of LA won't let summer camps go to locations that sell alcohol, and LAUSD has the same rules for elementary for field trips. Museum can be closed down during field trips, where the alcohol isn't offered to mitigate these trips. Q - If license isn't approved, will the museum still open . The answer is Yes, but this is part of the expectation. Q - Private events . Q - Lots of bars selling liquor, in this area so call for a vote. Editar
