[7:42 pm] 1. Call Meeting to Order and Roll Call of Board Members (Jett, Lynch, Gilbert, Reyes); Jett, presiding. 2. Public Comment on Non Agenda Items. Charles Ramos - Rimpau wanted to come and check it out. Rimpau and Jefferson - reported 5 times - a couple of street lights not wooden telephone posts but the concrete posts. Continuous dumping and abandoned vehicles. ER is happy to help connect with Jonathan and looking at - SRs and CPAB - Neighborhood Watches Help get some neighborhood watch groups set up in our area - one whatsapp Urban Resilience Task Force Non Board Members can join committees 3. Old Business Review and discussion of WANC board member activity, including board member role and committee assignments; status of required board member trainings; board member updates on status (e.g., communications, required trainings, public-meeting absences). West Adams Neighborhood Council access and review of Tools and Technology including but not limited to the Website (https://westadamsnc.org/) and .org Email Addresses. Set up a welcome email and got access to the website Facebook login Nextdoor page IG page Blake help us get logged in - passwords expired Pull some reports from Google Analytics and Email List West Adams and Friends IG group connecting West Adams Neighborhood Council Board Vacancies Agenda for the next board meeting - Connie & Dorsey Highschool & LA New School Education Rep - Jill Vidal Business Rep - At Large - Craft an email mentioning this item Discussion on process for SubCommittee assignments and accountability, including but not limited to the dissemination of Committee Reports and documents through the WANC Website (https://westadamsnc.org/) Subcommittees: Executive (Jett, Lynch, Reyes), Finance (Williams), Land Use (Williams), Outreach (Dawson, Gilbert, Jett), Public Safety (Stakeholder Co-chair Simonson, board member Valdez), Rules (Dawson, Lynch, Thomas), Youth & Education (Jett). For questions about, report from, or to be a stakeholder member or participant on any committee: email westadamsnc.org. Outreach scheduled for 9/10 and Land Use scheduled for 9/11. Minimum 1 Standing Committee required for: Miller, E. Ramirez, J. Ramirez,, Sulaimankhil QJ will take the form, send it to the board and who is on what as we currently know it. Review and discussion of past WANC Board Action Certifications (BACs), and Committee Activities. Board Action Certifications and Committee Activities - Go to BAC in NC Manager, get 2 signatures and then turn them in. City clerk gave admin packet and budget, we need to combine those 2. One doc that has the admin and the budget in 1 Thursday 9/11 - QJ will confirm with AG QJ - Need an action to do this - Review and discussion of Board Vacancies, including efforts to fill and applicants Review and discussion of activities past and forthcoming in the WANC community (i.e., organizations and stakeholders within our Neighborhood Council boundaries, such as businesses, block clubs, educational institutions, and neighborhood associations). https://westadamsnc.org/wp-content/uploads/West-Adams-Neighborhood-Council-Map.pdf and how we disseminate this to our neighborhood in a multi-channel way. Rules committee - Jace, Connie and Blake the meetings. Last year there were a couple meetings to talk about the bylaws. 3 meetings Feedback period - what should we change Draft Final Next Step - Do an inventory report and board approval.
